For Duck [dated to morning of the 22nd]
Feb. 22nd, 2007 11:06 pmThe island weather is sort of novel for Kate. Growing up in Toronto, warm and tropical was rarely an option and it just gets damn hot here during the day. That's why, much to Jack's horror and confusion, Kate is up again at dawn finishing her run. She plops down into the sand, tossing her shirt to the side and closes her eyes, glad for the breeze coming off the ocean. A vague notion that she should go wake up Jack exists in the back of her mind, but for now she wants to enjoy the quiet. The kind of peace and quiet that can only come from not waking up as a newt, a toaster, or a boy.
[ooc: Kate's not topless. She has a sports bra on and shorts]
